I wonder if this place cuts ear hair and nose hair . They do offer hot shaves, which makes me wonder if they throw away the razor after each customer, because you know the guys that go there probably have AIDS.  That's not funny.

I prefer the barbershops, like the one in Pine Grove, Ca , where the dude had an interesting system that vacuumed the hair while he was clipping . When the cutting had finished, he used a massage vibrator ( looked like a mini-waffle iron and kicked like a mule) on  my neck . I didn't really enjoy that too much, because (a) he didn't ask first and (b) I thought I was having a seizure.  I told him to knock that sh**  off right away . 

The guy on Placer Street here in Redding, you know, next to  Damburger, is interesting. Not a wasted move from that fellow. And he rides a Honda CT 90 ( "making a saner world, one small bike at a time.") to work. Those things rock the casbah.  Those other barber guys down by the ice cream shop have the stuffed-animal-on-the-wall stylee. And they have a funny political schtick going.

This fence party is taking place a couple miles west of Janesville, Ca  ( good going ,Tiffany Heflin!) and  8 miles east of Susanville,Ca  ( home of the famous Susanville's Most Wanted and the  T and a Lounge ).

 

Alright, some people loved Mystery Science Theater 3000, some people hated it, and i guess some people didn't care either way. I can see where it could be annoying, but i'll have to say that I laughed my ass off most of the time ( Joel was better than Mike IMHO).

Anyway, I got to thinking about MST 3000 because of the new Rifftrax ( via Blowing Smoke ) that Mike Nelson has developed , and here's the deal : The MST 3000 episode that still makes me chuckle is " 'Manos', the Hands of Fate".   The whole thing was brilliant ;  the movie was...well, I don't have the words ( okay, one word, Torgo) ,  the commentary was even better, and the sound track was the freakiest!

So I looked up "Manos" , and it seems I'm not alone! I didn't know that.  Seems there was a documentary  made in 2004 called Hotel Torgo. This year, a play in Portland, Oregon was based on the "Manos" story, and there is a DVD release of the original movie, as well.
