" Well boys, looks like I need to go get the dozer to pack these out." That is the weirdest picture. A real killdozer. The taxi for the taxidermist. Ho ho, ooooh boy. Bill Foster kept the taxidermist busy and was also a bootlegger. Adventuresome life. |

One of the patrons at the bar was so far in his cups, he was talking at some the heads on the wall. No, that's bull. Normal, friendly folks.

Striped Bass

Striper buddy got knabbed. Anchovies were what they were biting. This little one might remember the time he/she made a trip out of water -- swim back and think about it a little bit, I guess. |

I guess the kid is pretty happy to be angling for striper bass with his pop. Plus they were getting set to barbeque some chicken -- yeah, the stove was broken -- had to barbeque this one. Eat, eat , eat. Eaaaaaaaaaaat.

United States Geological Survey guy gauging Sacramento River flow

I yelled out "mark twain!" like an idiot, and he just shook his head. Hahahaha. No, I didn't yell that, but I did talk to the fellow from USGS somewhat. This is a gauging station at the end of the municipal fishing pier in Rio Vista, California. Yeah, the water was 58 degrees and the tide was moving out pretty damn good. I don't know, it was something like 16,000 Cubic Feet/ Second. They also measure stream velocity and salinity and some other stuff. I wanted to take some pictures, but he wasn't in position to make that call. |
